How to take care of an Orchid?

There was a buggy full of discounted plants of various kinds at the grocery store. There were only a couple of orchid plants that were badly taken care off b/c they were about to die… I picked the best one out of the bunch and bought it for $3.00. Well the problem is that even though they are my favorite flower I have no inclination on how to take care of them. This one does not have a flower on it yet but all the stems and leaves on it are still green. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.
