how long do phaelenopsis orchids go dormante before new bloosoms appear?

I repotted and cut the stem way back about 2 years ago, so far its producing new leaves…same question goes for dendrobium orchids

If they are not getting enough light and humidity, you will just get leaves. It happend to me. After 2 years of waiting, I bought a stem with orchid blossoms and put it in the pot. Not real, but prettier than plain leaves.
