How do I protect potted rose bushes in the winter?

There’s tons of info on rose bushes planted in the ground. Mine will stay in large clay pots b/c I rent and don’t own the flower beds.

i would wrap it in newspaper…the bottom of the pot to keep from freezing or you could do parchment paper. if there is anyway you can bring it in that would be best though but just wrap the pot and mulch…heavily mulch the soil and follow regular rose wintering instructions. i have had clay pots break from cold though so wrap it very carefully with paper to insulate and bubble wrap or something similar on top of the paper. good luck
