I have the rose disease ‘black spot’ on my rose bushes. Can anyone tell me any home remidies to get rid of it?
I would prefer non-chemical solutions if possible. I have heard bi-carbonate soda can be used. Does anyone know how to do this?
Remove infected leaves, plants and use a preventive fungicide program. A fungicide such as chlorothalonil or Captan should be applied, although the new Bayer Advanced Disease Control products seem to work well.
Black spot will never leave, as soon as the weather conditions change it will germinate.
oh and never spray water late in the day or evening as this will sit on the leaves all night before the sun can dry it off and black spot germinate. Water applied on the leaves in the morning will dry in the early day sun.
